4 seasons of bird beaks by GorillaEye 4 seasons of bird beaks by GorillaEye
with school last semester and my generally being a lazy poop i decided to recast the bird beak mask in several colors. one for each season. winter uses snow, string has budding flowers, and so on. i am going to continue the series of masks with small animals, frogs, foxes, deer, and so on. but that's pending time and money to mold them. (the money to mold them has been the main deterrent)

as well i have decided to sell them. i had wiggled and waggled the price. so if any one has suggestions please give them. i have to sell them for more that 50 dollars because of there being so labor and time intensive for me to make.

Wow those are amazing - I stumbled across a picture on the net and it took me some time to track down the original artist of those!
Wish I had one of those I love the concept, do you still ake them? Or maybe sell blanks?

These are beautiful! Don't sell your self short, your work is high quality and to ask anything less than $150 would be tragic. Look on line at some comparable masks to get a better idea where you should price yours. I understand they are cast from a mother mold and not OOAK, but asking the people on this site what they think is reasonable might not work in your favor. Don't be shy to ask a fair price for your time, labor and creative vision.

I totally agree. And also - masks cast from a mould can still be one of a kind - especially if finished by hand. The paint finish will never be the same twice even if the base moulded shape is the same. Plus - you created the mould so it is an unique design that people will not find anywhere else. i.e. not mass produced in some factory in China. You must charge a decent price for your beautiful work.

Amazing work! These are some of the most beautiful, original takes on the plague doctor mask that I've ever encountered. Obviously it's been a few years since they were first featured here, but if you are still selling any, I'd be VERY interested in purchasing one.

tee hee hee thank you. if i ever have time to recast some. (school is all year round for me winter-um and summer-um classes) i will post. if i made more i would likely re-sculpt this one and make it less symmetrical and make the edges more rough more as though it was grown in that shape. along with several other woodland animals, rabbets, foxes dear, and the like.

plastic. sculpted the original in clay. made a mold of that. and made new positive plastic copies.
